Dan Radin

Classically-trained cellist and singer-songwriter Dan Radin is on a mission to entertain and delight audiences by reinventing the role of the cello in popular music.

The folk-neoclassical-acoustic rock fusion is fueled by disarming lyrics and his signature “lead cello,” getting compared often to 2000’s singer-songwriters like John Mayer and Dave Matthews with symphonic textures.

Oktoberfest Celebration with The Brooklin Band

Oktoberfest Celebration with The Brooklin Band

Come ring in the beginning of Oktoberfest with The Brooklin Band and other special guests.

The Brooklin Band was formed in 2003 to play for the annual 4th of July parade and celebration in Brooklin. As with many Maine towns, Brooklin had had a town band for years in the 1900s, but not since the 1970s. Original members of the revived band still with them are Jon Hopkins (founder), Tracy Spencer, and Dick Kane. Don Holmes and Jim Fisher joined soon after. They now number 18 when they all show up, and they come from all over the peninsula and beyond.

Travis Cyr

Travis Cyr is a creative force uniquely his own. His music is a rootsy mix of spacey folk and Americana balladry. Warmly gentle, vastly strong and intensely vivid. Flowing between delicately precise and aggressively percussive acoustic guitar work, washed in splashes of cosmic space and ancient delay and laced with honest and poetic lyrics. The resulting mix is highly original and can effortlessly take the listener on a sonic and emotional journey. He has played over 2,000 shows and released 15 albums of all original songs. He is the founder of the Arootsakoostik music festival, a visual artist and is currently editing a book of short stories.

Kate McCann

Kate McCann

Kate McCann is a folk singer and banjo player based in Midcoast Maine.  Playing both original and traditional music, Kate draws from her time spent immersed in old-time, Irish, and maritime folk music traditions.  Through her arrangements of traditional songs and original compositions she explores how traditional music exists in the contemporary world not as a static artifact of the past but as an active practice that both the musician and audience can engage with. Her first EP “Sea Songs,” was released during the summer of 2023 and pulls from the maritime music tradition she became deeply familiar with after spending a year working as a chanteyman at the Mystic Seaport Museum.  The EP’s first single “Bone Dry,” was winner of the 2023 Maine Songwriters Association Songwriting Contest.  With a sound comparable to classic troubadours such as Joan Baez and Peggy Seeger but with contemporary flair and distinct New England roots, Kate is excited to continue creating material that straddles the line between old and new.

Fireside Collective

Fireside Collective

Fireside Collective has been on a roll since emerging seven years ago from the fertile roots music scene of Asheville, North Carolina. In quick order, the progressive bluegrass group released its debut album, won the 2016 Band Contest at MerleFest, earned an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Band of the Year nomination, and embarked on an ambitious touring schedule that’s earned an enthusiastic reception from traditional bluegrass to wide-ranging, eclectic music festival audiences alike.

Blending the characteristic interplay of bluegrass instrumentation and harmonies with strong original material and exuberant energy, Fireside Collective has drawn on folk, blues, funk and a wide variety of bluegrass sounds to create a distinctive body of work that’s all their own.

Each member—Joe Cicero (guitar); Jesse Iaquinto (mandolin); Tommy Maher (resonator guitar) and Carson White (upright bass)— brings a strong, original voice to his instrument, and the unique contributions of different lead and harmony vocalists complement the variety in the group’s many original songs. “Depending on where you come from and your experience with folk music, you may think we’re very traditional, or on the other hand, consider us a progressive act,” says Iaquinto. “We appreciate both ends of the spectrum and may lie on a different end on any given night.” But whether they’re bringing the classic sound of bluegrass or exploring new musical territory, Fireside Collective delivers a fresh, energetic approach and a blast of enthusiastic creativity that’s electrifying audiences across the country.

Bad Daddy

Bad Daddy

Bad Daddy’s musical perspective is a geographical brew of Chicago and coastal Maine where he’s a celebrated yacht designer. His style is a gritty, crunchy compression of classic blues and dank, sticky roots rock. That sound anchors the themes in his new record, It’s a Mad, Mad Bad Dad World — including its kickoff single, “Pork Pie Hat.” Shaken together it’s a modern cocktail of feel good, soul-filled tunes that groove and move.
